An opportunity is available for a reliable and motivated Therapy Assistant with a passion to work in our Capacity Building - Community (Travel required). This is a permanent part time basis for two days a week located at our Inglewood site.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team under the direction of allied health professionals, Therapy Assistants in the community provide individualised therapy to contribute to the goals held by Brightwater clients. Therapy Assistants support clients in therapeutic and recreational activities and provide feedback on clients’ progress to therapists to enable appropriate goal setting and program review.

These programs can be designed by a range of allied health professionals such as physiotherapist, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists. As a result, where and what your program will involve will vary from client to client and therefore involve a vast range of skills. As community work is often centred around developing the independence of our clients our programs are largely functional based.

Brightwater can offer you:

  • The ability to salary package up to $18,500 pa – meaning you can legitimately pay less tax and increase your take-home pay
  • Our unique staff benefits program, including access to BrightwaterPlus which gives you discounts with over 370 retailers

To be suitable for this role, you must possess:

  • A Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or progress towards), or significant experience in a related setting and a willingness to undertake training.
  • A ‘C’ class drivers’ licence and own a reliable car.
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than 12 months old
  • A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening check
  • Evidence of up-to-date flu & COVID-19 vaccinations

Responsibilities include:
