Brightwater is seeking a passionate and innovative Procurement Advisor to join our corporate team based out of our lovely Head Office in Inglewood.

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of contemporary, efficient and compliant procurement practices across the organisation.

This new position will focus on the team’s vision to position itself as a valued business partner. It will suit someone who is passionate about customer experience, thrives on finding better ways to do things and is confident using contemporary digital tools and procurement systems.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

  • Facilitate procurement processes, including activities to support complex and non-standard purchasing requirements
  • Provide specialist support across contract development and contract administration activities, including extensions, variations and insurances
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate procurement records, including the contract register and contract documentation
  • Provide timely, pragmatic and high-quality advice informed by an understanding of business needs and operational challenges
  • Maintain and enhance procurement resources (e.g. procedures, forms and templates) and processes (including digital solutions) to support organisational capability in purchasing and contract management
  • Develop and improve procurement systems and processes to maximise efficiency, compliance and customer experience through simplification and digitisation
  • Undertake procurement reporting and data analytics, including sourcing, analysing and interpreting data to identify commercial benefits and assure compliance

 

To be successful for the role, you will possess the following attributes:

  • Considerable experience in purchasing, contract development and contract management
  • High-level capability in procurement system administration, contemporary digital solutions and Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify risks and opportunities through data analysis
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, developing and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, compliance and customer experience
  • Well-developed written communication skills, including the ability to develop clear, user-friendly documentation
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively, influence stakeholders and deliver high-quality customer service
  • Satisfactory compliance requirement that includes National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months and a valid driver’s licence to drive in Western Australia, as defined by the WA Department of Transport (DoT).
