The Opportunity

We're looking for a passionate Operational Technology Technician to join our Technology Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys hands-on technical support and wants to make a genuine impact by supporting technology that directly enables better outcomes for aged care and disability clients.

About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will provide frontline support and maintenance across Brightwater's Operational Technology (OT) environment. You'll work with technologies that are critical to care delivery, including nurse call systems, assistive technologies, IoT devices, smartphones, tablets and workstations.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong IT support background who is looking to expand their expertise in operational technology, endpoint management and cyber security.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide day-to-day support for operational technology systems across Brightwater sites
  • Support nurse call and communication systems, IoT devices and clinical mobility platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting care delivery
  • Configure, deploy and replace devices including smartphones, tablets and workstations
  • Manage endpoints through the Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Assist with user onboarding, offboarding and access management
  • Conduct routine health checks and preventative maintenance activities
  • Maintain accurate asset, configuration and device records
  • Support cyber security controls and secure device configurations
  • Collaborate with engineers on new technology implementations and continuous improvement initiatives

 

About You

 

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Certificate IV, Diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years' experience in IT support, service desk or field services roles
  • Experience supporting Windows, iOS and Android devices
  • Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 and endpoint management
  • Knowledge of device provisioning, deployment and lifecycle management
  • Basic networking and Wi-Fi troubleshooting skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and customer service focus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
  • Experience within healthcare, aged care or disability services
  • Exposure to nurse call systems, IoT technologies or operational technology environments
  • Understanding of cyber security principles and secure device management

You will also need:

  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained in the last 12 months
  • A valid driver’s licence as defined by the Department of Trasport WA (DoTWA)
