We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic communications professional to play a key role in delivering impactful external and internal communications across a purpose-driven organisation.

Reporting to our Brand and Partnerships Manager, you will help bring Brightwater’s story to life – building awareness and engagement across our diverse audiences, from staff and clients to the wider community. Working as part of a collaborative and creative team, you will shape campaigns, craft compelling content, and contribute to Brightwater’s reputation as both a trusted service provider and an employer of choice.

What you will do:

  • Develop and deliver communications strategies and campaigns across traditional and digital channels.
  • Create engaging content that tells the Brightwater story – from newsletters, internal updates and social posts to media releases, video scripts and campaign materials.
  • Support media activity by monitoring coverage, identifying opportunities and helping share Brightwater’s stories with the right audiences.
  • Take a lead role in internal communications, creating clear and timely updates that keep staff informed, connected and engaged.
  • Support event communications, brand initiatives and other communications projects as part of a collaborative team.
  • Work closely with teams across the organisation to make sure messages are clear, consistent and aligned with our brand.

You are a versatile communicator who can shift seamlessly between audiences and channels. You are curious and collaborative – willing to tackle all parts of the communications function and be able to juggle multiple exciting projects at any given time. You enjoy variety and take pride in delivering high-quality, meaningful work that makes a difference.

 This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis and will be based at Brightwater Central in Inglewood.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualification in Communications or Public Relations and/or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
  • Experience developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders with demonstrated influence to inspire and drive change.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content for different audiences and channels.
  • Experience delivering internal communications to keep staff informed, connected and engaged.
  • Knowledge of the news media and how to support positive media coverage.
  • Content creation skills, such as basic videography, photography, editing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the past 12 months.
