Our 1000 sqm commercial kitchen located in Malaga combines top-of-the-range equipment with a fully trained team of catering professionals to produce over 600,000 meals per year.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with bulk catering and kitchen production leadership experience to manage our Chefs and Catering team in a permanent full-time capacity.

Hours required for this role will be 0700-1500 but may vary on occasion depending on business requirements.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide support and overall leadership and management of all activities relating to the catering service. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent delivery of safe, high-quality food production aligned to Brightwater’s food service model, regulatory standards, and operational requirements.  This includes maintaining strict oversight of production planning, recipe and menu execution, compliance, and documentation control. This role plays a critical role in ensuring operational stability, with daily quality control measures and continuous improvement across production. 

 This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an individual who can operate effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining strong governance, accountability, and team performance.

 To be suitable for this role, you will have:

• Relevant qualification in food production, commercial cookery, or related field.

• Demonstrated experience in large-scale food production or cook-chill environments. 

• Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSANZ, Aged Care Strengthened Standard 6 - Food and Nutrition, Allergen management and IDDSI. 

• Proven leadership experience managing teams in high-volume production environments. 

• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 

• Experience in recipe management, cost control, yields, and production planning. 

• Sound knowledge of stock control and inventory management. 

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. 

• Satisfactory National Police Clearance. 
• Valid driver’s licence to drive in Western Australia, as defined by the WA Department of Transport (DoT).

• To hold or be willing to complete a Food Safety Supervisor certification.
