We are currently seeking a permanent full-time HR Partner Lead to lead an experienced and high performing team based out of our central office in Inglewood.   

 

Reporting to the Manager People and Culture - Operations, you will be responsible for proactively leading the People Partnering team to work in partnership with Brightwater’s leaders and key stakeholders. This role will see you developing, leading and implementing HR strategies to improve HR metrics, workforce utilisation and employee engagement as well as provide expert advice on complex people matters while supporting a positive culture across service areas to align with our Brightwater Mission Spirit

  

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting the People Partner team, fostering collaboration, mentoring staff, and ensuring delivery of customer-focused HR solutions across performance, culture, and employee relations.
  • Implementing data-driven HR strategies, using key metrics to identify trends and drive initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and workforce outcomes.
  • Providing expert HR partnership to a designated portfolio, including coaching leaders, resolving complex employee relations issues, and facilitating training and development.
  • Managing industrial relations matters, including union liaison, enterprise agreement interpretation, and participation in enterprise bargaining and negotiations.
  • Ensuring HR compliance and continuous improvement, maintaining up-to-date policies, preparing reports, and contributing to change initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Spearheading the ongoing development and implementation of Contemporary workforce initiatives.   

 

As a subject matter expert in the above areas, you will have exceptional influencing skills, with the ability to establish lasting, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
  • A proven track record of mentoring and leading high performing teams.
  • A sound understanding of, and the ability to effectively interpret and apply, the principles of industrial instruments and employment contracts
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with unions, employer bodies, the Fair Work Commission and others as required, in relation to employee relations matters and employee claims
  • Strong understanding of enterprise agreements (negotiations and implementation)
  • A keen interest in remaining up to date on human resources and employee relations matters and best practice methodologies

 

 You will also have or be able to obtain:

  • A current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
  • A NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Screening Check Clearance
  • A National Police clearance obtained within the last 12-months
