Brightwater is seeking a General Manager, Education and Clinical Speciality to join our purpose driven corporate team based in our Head Office in Inglewood. Reporting into the Chief Clinical Excellence Officer, you will be key member of Brightwater’s senior management team providing strategic leadership, governance and operational oversight of all clinical education functions across the organisation.    

In your new role you will be responsible for leading and delivering high quality clinical training programs for nursing, allied health and health care workers including graduate development programs and leadership programs.  Further, the role will provide oversight and leadership of  key specialist initiatives including  palliative care and  dementia care..

In this dynamic role, you partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that clinical capability, professional standards and workforce readiness is strengthened across the wider organization.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

  • Leading the strategic direction of clinical education, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, regulatory requirements, and best‑practice care standards.
  • Driving long‑term workforce capability development across nursing, allied health, palliative care, and dementia care, supported by strong governance and high‑quality training programs.
  • Overseeing clinical training, graduate programs, and mentoring frameworks to build a skilled, confident, and well‑supported clinical workforce.
  • Building partnerships with education providers, lead clinical initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement and organisational strategy.

 

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Degree level qualification in a suitable discipline (nursing, allied health, education or related field), with significant senior management experience within an organisation of similar size and complexity.
  • Experience working at a strategic and operational level within an organisation, with a sound understanding, appreciation and experience clinical education and care in aged care, community health, hospital services or similar settings.
  • Satisfactory compliance requirement that includes National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months and a valid driver’s licence to drive in Western Australia, as defined by the WA Department of Transport (DoT).
