Clinical Nurse – Residential Aged Care

Brightwater is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our Residential Aged Care team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong clinician who enjoys leading, mentoring and supporting teams to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.

About The Cove
Located in a peaceful setting, The Cove features 131 private rooms across seven thoughtfully designed houses. We provide exceptional care tailored to a variety of needs, including advanced dementia and high-level support requirements.

About the Role

Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Clinical Nurse plays a key leadership role across the site, providing clinical guidance, education and oversight to ensure the delivery of safe, high‑quality care.

You will work collaboratively with nursing, care and allied health teams, supporting best practice, quality improvement and compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and Brightwater’s Clinical Governance Framework.

Position details

Two full-time positions operating across a 7‑day rotating roster, covering AM (7:00am–3:06pm) and PM (10:00am–6:06pm) shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and oversee evidence‑based, individualised nursing care
  • Support resident safety, dignity and holistic wellbeing
  • Deliver clinical leadership, coaching and education to staff
  • Assist with clinical decision‑making and the management of complex cases
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, professional standards and mandatory reporting
  • Contribute to care planning, documentation and funding requirements
  • Drive continuous quality improvement and positive change
  • Support workforce development, including mentoring and recruitment
  • Act as a role model, promoting Brightwater values and a safe workplace

About You

You are a confident clinician and natural leader who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in aged care or a similar complex clinical setting
  • Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A flexible, proactive and solutions‑focused approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting older people to live with dignity and independence
