This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our Staff Relief Pool and work in our Southern region at our Mandurah and Waikiki sites.
Whilst working as a member of the relief pool the successful candidate will cover planned leave across these two residential facilities on a permanent basis, with a part-time contract of on offer for the successful candidate.
To be eligible you must be available to work at both the Mandurah and Waikiki sites at least three week days each week.
To be suitable for this role, you must possess:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- The ability to prioritise your workload, problem solve, and work safely and efficiently under pressure without direct supervision.
- A positive, proactive and a client-focused approach
- A Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or progress towards), or significant experience in a related setting and a willingness to undertake training.
- A WA drivers’ licence and reliable car
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the holistic needs of our clients are met in accordance with their Care Plan by facilitating a variety of therapeutic and recreational programs
- Contributing to the development of innovative therapy programs to improve the wellbeing of our clients
