Expression of Interest – General Manager Residential Aged Care

We are seeking expression of interests for the position of General Manager, Residential Aged Care.

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this pivotal leadership role is responsible for all areas of operations across the Residential Aged Care and Transitional Care Program portfolios, ensuring person-centred, safe, compliant, and quality care to clients and their families.

This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis at Brightwater Central in Inglewood.

Leading and managing the RAC Operations Management team to achieve agreed objectives, KPIs, and financially sustainable business plans, this position will suit a strategic leader who embraces change and continuous improvement.  If you have a strong focus on safety and knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, we would love to hear from you.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in business and/or health (desirable), and/or significant senior management experience within an organisation of similar size and complexity.
• A strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and a working knowledge of Federal and State Government Aged Care reforms as well as the challenges and opportunities facing the Aged Care sector.
• Demonstrated experience working at both a strategic and operational level with a sound understanding, appreciation of and experience in organisational development and change management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large complex teams towards goal achievement and outcomes consistent with organisational purpose, values, and strategy.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability the effectively engage with stakeholders and establish successful working relationships.
• Strong analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to self-organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and plan and coordinate projects efficiently.
