Position: Therapy Assistant — Permanent Part-Time and Fixed-Term Part-Time

Location: Brightwater Birralee, Innaloo, WA

Brightwater is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Therapy Assistants to join the multidisciplinary team at Brightwater Birralee. In this role, you will support permanent residents and Transition Care clients by delivering individual and group therapy programs, lifestyle activities and recreational initiatives that promote independence, engagement and overall wellbeing. The role focuses on creating meaningful experiences and supporting clients to achieve their Transition Care Program goals.

Located in Innaloo, Brightwater Birralee is a suburban home supporting 30 permanent residents and 30 Transition Care clients.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have experience working as a Therapy Assistant. Transition care experience will be viewed favourably, and new graduates are welcome to apply.

Employment Opportunities:

  • Fixed-Term Part-Time: Mondays, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (until 31 December 2026).
  • Permanent Part-Time: Tuesdays, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Candidates may also be considered for future similar vacancies across other Brightwater sites.

To be suitable for this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance
  • Experience working as a Therapy Assistant; transition care experience will be viewed favourably
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • A positive, proactive and client-focused approach
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering goal-directed therapy programs in accordance with client care plans, in both group and individual settings
  • Providing recreational activities that support clients’ social and emotional wellbeing
  • Contributing to the development of innovative therapy programs that enhance wellbeing
  • Supporting volunteers to enhance the site therapy program
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to site reporting, accreditation standards and legislative compliance, including incident reporting
