The Opportunity:

Brightwater is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead the team at Brightwater Birralee, located in Innaloo. This is not your standard Aged Care Service Manager role as this facility supports 30 permanent residents and 30 transitional care clients.

The welcoming site has been designed around the concept of a social model of care and small community focus with regular client focused activities. The site offers high-quality services tailored to diverse individuals requiring ongoing care; including those with advanced dementia and complex care needs.

The successful candidate for this role will also enjoy the rewarding nature of the goal directed reablement focus of Transition Care and the acute clients.

This is a permanent full-time position working core business hours Monday to Friday.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of clinical care
  • Ensure full compliance with the Transitional Care Program requirements
  • Manage financial operations and ensure budget compliance
  • Lead recruitment and staff development initiatives
  • Ensure full compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Foster a culture of excellence and compassion within a diverse team
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care
  • Drive continuous improvement

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience as a Service Manager
  • Qualified and suitably registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - desirable
  • Commitment to providing safe, high-quality care using a client-centred approach
  • Sound understanding of accreditation in aged care or health and the federal and state aged care reforms
  • Proactive approach to quality improvement
