About the role

At Brightwater, we believe in the power of people, stories, and connection—and how design can bring these to life.

We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Design Specialist who is passionate about creating meaningful and engaging visual experiences that reflect who we are and the communities we serve.

This role offers the opportunity to guide and grow Brightwater’s visual brand, while also being hands-on in delivering thoughtful, high-quality design across a range of channels. Working closely with teams across the organisation, you’ll help communicate our purpose, support our services, and strengthen the connection we have with our clients, families, and community.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll contribute both strategically and creatively, including:

  • Shaping and evolving Brightwater’s visual identity to ensure it remains consistent, accessible, and meaningful across all touchpoints
  • Designing a wide range of creative assets across digital, print, and campaign channels
  • Developing and maintaining brand guidelines, templates, and tools to support teams across the organisation
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and bring ideas to life in a way that resonates with our audiences
  • Managing design projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Supporting a culture of good design by providing guidance and sharing best practice across teams
  • Collaborating with external partners where needed to deliver high-quality outcomes

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • A qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or similar, with at least 5 years’ experience in a senior or lead design role
  • Experience developing and maintaining brand identity systems across different platforms
  • Strong creative thinking and the ability to translate ideas into engaging visual content
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
  •

Desirables:

  • Experience working in the aged care, disability, health or not-for-profit sectors
  • Additional creative skills such as photography, videography or multimedia production

Why join Brightwater:

  • The ability to salary package up to $18,550 annually, meaning you can legitimately pay less tax
  • Our unique staff benefits program, including access to Brightwater Plus which gives you discounts with over 370 retailers and heavily discounted gym membership with access to 65 facilities across Perth.
