Rostering Team Lead - RAC

Operations | Centralised Workforce Optimisation | Permanent Part Time 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Rostering Team Lead to lead the delivery of Brightwater’s centralised rostering service across our Residential Aged Care (RAC) sites. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring rosters are efficient, compliant, and aligned to workforce and budget requirements—supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our clients.

You will oversee a team of Rostering Officers, partnering closely with operational leaders to optimise workforce planning, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement across rostering systems and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the centralised rostering team, ensuring efficient and consistent service delivery
  •  Develop and implement rostering strategies to meet operational, financial, and workforce needs
  • Partner with Service Managers and Operations to optimise workforce utilisation
  • Oversee and maintain master rosters, ensuring compliance with enterprise agreements
  • Monitor rostering data, trends, and reporting to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Support payroll accuracy through timely and accurate roster management
  • Recruit, coach, and develop team members while fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and reporting

About you

You are an experienced rostering or workforce planning professional with strong leadership capability and a passion for delivering operational excellence.

You will bring:

  • Experience in rostering, scheduling, or workforce deployment
  • Proven team leadership experience, ideally in healthcare or aged care
  • Strong knowledge of rostering systems, HR practices, and enterprise agreements
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritise, and perform under pressure
  • A proactive, adaptable, and customer-focused approach
