The Position:

Brightwater is seeking a visionary and strategic Operations Manager – Hospitality to lead the transformation of our culinary and dining experience across our residential aged care homes. This role is central to driving innovation, excellence, and consumer-focused service delivery that enhances the well-being of our residents.

This is a permanent full-time leadership role, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required.

The Responsibilities:

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive culinary and dining strategy aligned with Brightwater’s mission and values.
• Champion a culture of culinary innovation and continuous improvement.
• Oversee food safety compliance, menu development, and the execution of high-quality culinary programs.
• Manage budgets, streamline operations through emerging technologies, and ensure financial sustainability.
• Build and lead a high-performing hotel services team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure dining experiences that meet nutritional and dietary requirements
• Promote culinary initiatives through marketing and customer experience channels.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and codes of conduct.

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent
• Extensive experience in a Head Chef role, preferably within aged care.
• Proven leadership in culinary innovation, team development, and strategic planning.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulatory requirements and aged care quality standards.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and financial management skills.
• Ability to travel regularly across Brightwater residential sites.
• Current National Police Certificate (within 12 months) and a valid WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
