Are you a strategic communicator who loves to craft stories that inspire, inform and connect? We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic communications professional to play a key role in delivering impactful external and internal communications across a purpose-driven organisation.

Reporting to our Communications Manager, you’ll help bring Brightwater’s story to life – building awareness and engagement across our diverse audiences, from staff and clients to the wider community. Working as part of a collaborative and creative team, you'll shape campaigns, craft compelling content, and contribute to Brightwater’s reputation as both a trusted service provider and an employer of choice.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver communications strategies and campaigns across traditional and digital channels.
• Craft engaging content that tells the Brightwater story – whether for a media release, newsletter, social post, video script, or internal update.
• Liaise with media to identify and capitalise on opportunities that enhance Brightwater’s public profile and share our success stories.
• Support media relations, event communications, and brand initiatives.
• Work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with our brand.
• Contribute to a positive internal culture through well-crafted, timely internal communications.

About you:

You’re a versatile communicator who can shift seamlessly between audiences and channels. You are curious and collaborative – willing to tackle all parts of the communications function and be able to juggle multiple exciting projects at any given time. You enjoy variety and take pride in delivering high-quality, meaningful work that makes a difference.

This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis and will be based at Brightwater Central in Inglewood.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Relevant qualification in Communications or Public Relations and/or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
• Experience developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders with demonstrated influence to inspire and drive change.
• Demonstrated skills as a highly competent writer across a broad range of communications channels.
• Knowledge of the news media and how to maximise positive media coverage.
• Content creation skills, such as basic videography, photography, editing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
• Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the past 12 months.
