The Opportunity

An exciting internal opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse to join the team at Brightwater Madeley Residential Aged Care.

This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse looking to further develop their leadership capability while making a meaningful impact on resident outcomes, team development, and clinical excellence.

The position is permanent part-time, 76 hours per fortnight, working the following roster:

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership and support to care teams, ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based, person-centred care while promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and oversee evidence-based, individualised nursing care, ensuring resident safety, dignity and wellbeing.
  • Provide clinical leadership, education and support to nursing, care and allied health teams.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex clinical situations.
  • Support care planning, clinical assessments, documentation and evaluation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, professional standards, mandatory reporting requirements and Brightwater policies.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support positive change within the home.
  • Assist with staff development, coaching, mentoring and performance support.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and culturally safe environment for residents, families and colleagues.
  • Act as a role model for Brightwater's values and safety culture.

About you

You are a capable and compassionate clinician who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and supporting others to succeed.

You will bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in aged care and/or a complex clinical environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical governance principles.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and supporting care teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to person-centred care.
  • A genuine passion for improving the lives, wellbeing and independence of older people.
